Prashanth is an Advocate & Partner at Shivadass & Shivadass (Law Chambers). He holds a distinction degree in Competition Law from Queen Mary University of London.

Prashanth advises both Domestic and International clients on a variety of areas including Taxation, Competition & Antitrust Laws, Data Protection and allied laws, Company and Corporate Laws (Aviation, Insolvency, Foreign Exchange Management, Electricity, Legal Metrology, Drugs and Cosmestics, Labour, Intellectual Property, etc.), across various Sectors. His clients include Fortune 500 Companies, Indian Multinationals, Global MNCs, PSUs, MSMEs and SMEs, startups, etc.

Prashanth has also appeared in over 1000 Commercial Litigation and Corporate matters, Taxation (Direct and Indirect) and Competition matters, for Clients, before various Tribunals, High Courts all over India, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Orissa, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and the Supreme Court of India.

Prashanth is also an empaneled Advocate for the Competition Commission of India (‘CCI’) to represent the CCI across different fora, effective 2024.

Prior to setting up Shivadass & Shivadass (Law Chambers), Prashanth has worked with top law firms in India and abroad gaining tremendous experience, including setting up practice verticals and offices in London, the Solicitor General of India’s office, for more than 7 years. Prashanth also delivers lectures at various symposiums on issues relating to Antitrust / Competition Law, Company Law, Data Protection and Privacy Laws, and Economic offences. Prashanth is also a seasoned lecturer at various business and management schools, not to mention, leading law schools in India and abroad.

Among other hobbies, he is a trained classical singer (Carnatic) of over 22 years, a State level Cricket player and a casual photographer.
